Students who want to start the book club came by to visit me yesterday. They are really excited. They recommended we go to the public library to meet. They suggested this may make it a little less scandalous (my words, not theirs). I agreed, but I don’t think they realize that my location won’t really matter. It is my vocation that makes me a target.
I suggested we think of a different text to read. I agree with the librarian when she said, “If I’m going to go down, I prefer it not be over The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” It totally makes sense.

We are meeting next week in the library to discuss our next course of action: the remaining teachers and the students.
Now, I begin to get ready to enjoy my four-day weekend!
Love and Light!
